First Cereal/Spoon Experience
Madeline has had cereal in her bottle since she was about a month old because it helps her with her spitting up issues. Since she is now four months old, rolling over, and sitting up with support I decided to try letting her eat cereal from a spoon this morning. It went pretty well! She didn't dislike it, and I think the more we do it the more she will enjoy it.
The set-up.
After a few bites.
"Mom, give me the spoon. I can do this myself!"
There was a little extra.
Happiness!
Oh Turner!
Brad texted me this photo while I was at work on Friday.
Yes, that is Turner. In my pillow case. Brad said he watched the whole thing evolve and it was priceless. He starter scratching at the case like he does at blankets when he wants to get under them, then bolted down to the bottom, turned around, stuck his head out, and rested it on the dog pillow. What a goof!

4 Months Old
At 4 months old you...
- Still sleep through the night.
- Are rolling from stomach to back AND from back to stomach, there is no stopping you now.
- Are talking more and more to us, you try to tell us things and you will talk to yourself in your crib at night and in the morning. It is the best sound in the world. I think you have even said "Hi" twice.
- Are using your legs more and more. They are getting so strong, you use our hands to help you stand and you love watching this in a mirror.
- Can use your exersaucer now, you are discovering the toys on it and just love to hit them and move them.
- Are have been going to the sitter now since January 3rd. You love it there! There are other kids for you to watch and you can talk to Pam and Bob, they love having you there and just brag about what a good baby you are, which makes me so happy that you are happy there.
- Are wearing 3 - 6 month clothes and still wearing a 1 - 2 diaper.
- Will go to the doctor on Feb. 7th, so I will update with your stats after your appointment.
Holding on to your bunny this month!

She made it!
Madeline rolled all the way over!! (And we missed it, boo!) I had stepped into the kitchen and she was laying on her back on her play mat in the living room, 10 seconds later when I walked back out she was on her stomach. I couldn't believe it! My hands flew to my mouth and Brad said "What?!" He had missed it too, and he was even sitting on the couch. We snapped a few quick pics and then turned her over and she did it again. She is doing it all the time now. Love it!
How I found her.
Lifting that head up, she now can bring those arms out immediately and push up.
"What did I do?"

Happy Birthday Grandma!
Yesterday was Grandma Janice's 29th birthday (haha), so we went out on the town to celebrate. We had a great dinner at Chuy's which is a new Tex-Mex restaurant that opened in the old Bahama Breeze building. It was quite good, very fresh and the atmosphere was fun! One note of warning: We got there at 5 and the wait was already an hour, so go early or go and put your name in and walk around the mall. We still miss our favorite winter time birthday dinner place (Bahama Breeze), but this was a decent replacement. Then we headed back to Grandma's for cake and presents.
What a fun cake!
Ready for the candles.
Madeline helped!
Now on to presents.
Maddie loved the envelopes.
What a cute hat!
Madeline received this adorable hat from Grandpa Dan and Grandma Beth's neighbor. She made it herself and it looks just precious on our little sweetheart. We have been getting a lot of use out of the hat with these chilly temperatures and I could not resist snapping a few pictures of our little miss.
Her typical "I won't smile now that you have the camera out look."
And finally, the start of her gorgeous smile! :-)

Rolling
Madeline is a pro at rolling from her belly to her back. She has been doing this since she was only a few weeks old. She is SO close to going from her back to her belly. Her momentum is getting her closer and closer, one of these days she will surprise herself and make it all the way over. This is where she gets to now...

And then with a little help from mommy...
Yay Maddie!!
