At the fair!

Today we visited the Kentucky State Fair with my parents. It was the perfect day for the fair! The weather was amazing and we stayed relatively cool. We took in a clown show, saw some animals, had lunch, saw more animals, and then visited the midway.

Maddie acquired some souvenirs from the clowns.

She topped off her look with a special nose!

We even found a fire hat in honor of her daddy.

Grandma found a flower for her hair.

We finally found the rabbits!

She made it out of the stroller to pet this guy.

A special treat from Grandma...

She even won a frog!

We ended the day riding the carousel, she love every moment!

On the way home, she decided to put the clown nose back on... all by herself!

The 4th (or 3rd) of July!

Our neighborhood goes all out for the 4th! We had a pitch-in cook out, and then a parade of kids, we did it this year on the 3rd since most people would be off the next day/have other plans on the actual day. For the parade, all the kids decorate the bikes or other vehicles in patriotic gear... Madeline participated on her decked out power wheels! She loved every minute!!

Summer Evenings

This is how we are spending our summer... Outside with friends, driving Power Wheels, and pushing baby strollers! We are loving every minute!!

This time she got in...

Madeline LOVED the pool the 2nd time around. We went in the evening so she didn't have to get slathered with sunscreen or wear a hat. It was warmer and she had a blast.

Pool Time

Now that warm weather has arrived we have been able to do something we have wanted to do since Madeline was born, introduce her to the pool! She has ALWAYS been a water baby. She loves her bath and her favorite thing to do is splash. We couldn't wait to see what she would do in the pool.

 The first trip was a little chilly, so she hung out with Daddy.

 She relaxed on a float.
