Christmas!
Madeline exceeded my expectations on Christmas morning. She woke up in a great mood, like usual, and loved watching us turn on the tree in her room. She said "Oooh!" like she did every time a tree was turned on this year. She noticed the present Santa had left for her under there and then followed us out to the big tree in the living room. Usually she gets cranky right away if she doesn't eat, but the minute she saw what Santa had left for her.. she didn't think about food again for some time!
A view of the tree after Santa came.
Turner found his and went straight under the bed, silly dog!
Stockings were filled!
Merry Christmas!
A present from Santa
Straight for the cozy coupe!
Knocked other presents out of the way to get there!
Loving it!
Actually got out of it to open her stocking.
Hollywood! And back in the cozy coupe...
She noticed that Santa drank all his milk (unlike her) and ate some of the cookies.
Playing with new toys at the Grandparents' house.
Snack break! (What she does best!)
Back at it with Grandma Beth and Grandma Jan.
Playing puzzles with Grandpa Dan.
Not sure about the Sit-n-Spin, yet...
Playing, playing, playing!

Christmas Eve
Luckily Brad was off for both Christmas Eve and Christmas this year! We started Christmas Eve with lunch at Cheddar's with his Dad and step-mom then we went back to their house for presents and ping-pong for the boys. Those pictures are on my phone, will have to add them later.
After Madeline's nap Brad's mom and step-dad were here to have dinner and open presents.

Not too sure about this opening thing...
So Grandma and Turner helped.
Almost time for bed, but getting some play time in with her new shopping cart!
We had to put out food for the reindeer before bed.
She did a great job helping me spread the oats and glitter.
Maddie and Daddy set out milk and cookies for Santa.
One last look at the tree before Santa came!

Pancakes with Santa
For the second year we went to Pancakes with Santa at Riverbend (my Grandpa's assisted living home). It was kind of sad this year, last year it was jam PACKED with families, this year it was only us and one other lady who was with her mother. Not sure why the change, but Madeline was the hit of the party. All of the ladies loved watching her run around and around the halls. She wasn't too impressed with Santa, wouldn't really go near him, but warmed up a bit with time.
Madeline was not too happy about this...
Grandma tried...
But she would rather run around in the sun beams.
She was more open to the idea with Great-Grandpa.

Thanksgiving
This was the first "big" event that Brad was scheduled to work for, we made the best of it though! Madeline and I headed down to my parents around 10 to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, we made a quick stop at the fire station to visit Brad, went to his Grandparents' house for lunch, and ended the day back at my mom and dad's for nap and dinner. It was different not having Brad there, but I would much rather have him work Thanksgiving as opposed to Christmas!
Playing in the fort cousin Autumn made for her.
Fort!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Visiting friends!
The boys went golfing and Chrissie G and Ezra were headed down to visit Amie and Camryn so Madeline and I joined in on the fun!
Maddie and Ezra
Madeline, Ezra, and Camryn... it is INSANE trying to get all three of them in a picture!
Loved this one of Ezra!
Maddie enjoying a cookie.
Mommy note: Both Ezra and Camryn were great walkers at this point, little miss M still needed assistance from push toys. After this day someone started being more adventurous on her own. By Wednesday she was taking steps on her own across the living room!

Halloween in the New Neighborhood
Our new neighborhood does a party and Trick-or-Treating for the kids. They decided to do it on October 30th because the 31st was a Monday and it would be hard to get it all in with the bridge closure and all. Unfortunately Brad woke up with a touch of the stomach bug Madeline had and passed to me, and then I passed to him. So we was out of commission for the day. My parents came up during Maddie's nap and I carved the pumpkin. I made dinner and then we headed to one of the neighbor's for dessert before Trick-Treating. Grandpa stayed behind to help pass out candy since Brad was in bed (no fun!). You can tell Maddie still wasn't 100%, just look at her eyes, poor baby. It was fun though, found out that one of our new neighbors actually lived 3 doors down from us at our old house. Too funny!
Admiring mom's work on the pumpkin.
Madeline and the pumpkin!
Ready for Trick-or-Treating, still not walking on her own... so close!
Holding on to mom
.
Fun with the wagon and Grandma!
Let's get this show started.
Just kind of done with the whole day.
Aww, poor baby!
Almost done.

Halloween in Sellersburg
Our new city has an annual Trick-or-Treat night at Silver Creek High School. Daddy was working, but we met a bunch of friends there. Thank goodness for friends! Both Amie and I were "husband-less" for the night and were not anticipating the steps, and steps and strollers just don't go well. Luckily Bill and Dave (husbands of Brittney and Jill) were there to help us keep the line moving through the gym. The best part, the girls loved playing on the gym floor once we put a stop to the Trick-or-Treating. After that fun, everyone came back to our house for s'mores and some good old hanging out time.
Camryn enjoying some snacks!
