Pool Time

Now that warm weather has arrived we have been able to do something we have wanted to do since Madeline was born, introduce her to the pool! She has ALWAYS been a water baby. She loves her bath and her favorite thing to do is splash. We couldn't wait to see what she would do in the pool.

 The first trip was a little chilly, so she hung out with Daddy.

 She relaxed on a float.

8 Months - On Time

Look at you big girl!

Madeline at 8 months you...

• are working on your second tooth (I wish that sucker would just break through already...)
• are in a size 3 diaper
• wear size 6-9 or 9 months clothes
• are playing more independently (you can figure out how to make things move and play music all on your own)
• still refuse to hold your own bottle (thanks dear!)
• will drink from a sippy cup, if we are holding it
• are SUPER curious about EVERYTHING, you love to observe what's happening around you and will just stare at someone or something until it does something different
• will find any type of light or fan if we walk into a room, they are your obsession
• stand while holding on to an object, like the chair or couch
• are thinking about starting to pull up, you may need some convincing
• are waving Hi and Bye to everyone and everything now
• love to grab a hold of anything you aren't supposed to have, like the remote, our phones, or things on the bookcases
• are simply the light of our lives, even when we are feeling terrible with all of these spring colds your smiles and laughs in the mornings make our day 1000% better

7 Months - A little late

Now that we are less than a week away from her 8 month birthday, I finally have time to update about Madeline at 7 months! It has been busy around here with me starting Graduate school again to get my +30 and a whole bunch of other stuff that I will post about later.


Madeline at 7 months you

• have one tooth, you worked hard on that sucker too. Lots of drool, tears, and diaper rash. 
• are on the move. You army crawl ALL OVER the house. You get in the position to crawl on your knees, take a few forward motions and then drop to your elbows, you like this way better. You also have this great thing that you do when you stick your butt up in the air and it looks like you are doing yoga. I think one day you will stand straight up and just go!
• weigh about 17 pounds.
• are in a size 2 diaper, and we are just about to switch you to a size 3. 
• eat between 3 and 4 bottles a day. 
• eat a fruit at lunch, a vegetable and sometimes a fruit at dinner
• still love sweet potatoes the best. 
• are talking to us more and more.
• are waving Hi and Bye when you see someone. 
• do this funny thing when you start to get frustrated, you exhale and inhale really fast like you are panting.
• blow rasberries when you get mad.
• reach out to us and open and close your fist when you want us or something (like food).
• are about to be able to sit up on your own. You roll to your side and have gotten pretty close to just sitting up. 
• take a bath in the BIG tub now, no baby tub for you.
